« Initial mockup of dash LCD.Amps wired up, and all channels tested. »

Progress, last of the audio soldering, the beginning of the dash hacking.

The job-box for the audio connections has been completed and tested. It's screwed to the floor, and I put the knobs for the bass control to each amp in the top. RCA jacks for the audio connections are in the side.

I took the main part of the dash out and cut it up to make room for the second 10inch touchscreen. The front bezel of the LCD has been epoxied in and is curing as this is written. I used quick-set epoxy to get the bezel in place. Once that was dry-enough, I taped the front and filled the plastic around the edges from the back. After a few hours, I went back, and removed the tape and filled the valleys from the front. I had to put a piece of acrylic in to take up the open square from the left edge of the 4wd switch.

I will now have to figure what I need for phidgets to setup the heater controls.

The 4wd may just be replaced with three small momentary switches and an LED, but I'll have to think about what I am going to do there. Maybe just do more phidgets and a catch phrase for voice control, like 'fsck, we're stuck' for 4wd, and 'we're really stuck' for 4wd low.
