Gas filler done, upper shock mounts - in progress

Permalink 08/19/08 11:23, by admin, Categories: Uncategorized

I have completed one small task, the gas filler extension is done.

I have bought and returned a tubing bender at Harbour Freight. The tag in the store says that it'll bend tubing, but the instructions inside the box say no.

The tubing still needed to be bent, so I looked for local fabrication shops. One that was semi-close was Judd Performance Welding & Fabrication He was not opened, but returned my attempt to call. He recommended Total Performance Parts and Supply, since he did not have the dies for the size tubing that I had.

Jeff at Total Performance bent the tubing for me based on my conduit template, for a fair price, and I was on my way. They have a lot of cool stuff on the shelves. It's a place that you should check out if you have racing interests. I'll be going back there to get stuff for other projects.

Here's a couple of pictures of the tubing fitted and tacked into place.
