12v ATX Power supply research.

Permalink 04/08/08 11:13, by admin, Categories: Uncategorized

Looking for an ATX power supply for the PC in the truck, I have come across several options. Listed below are the most common and most reasonably priced options that I found available. Since I would like to run a Dual-Core AMD64 (65w) I will be either going with an M4-ATX from MP3Car.com or a 320w from Opus Solutions.

There are the standard 90w->160w automotive power supplies offered by Logic Supply for Mini/Nano/Pico-Itx mainboards.

You can also go the route of 200w->500w 12V power supplies from Power Stream

Opus Solutions has 15w->320w intelligent power supplies.

MP3Car.comseems to have the best bang-for-the-buck with the M4-ATX power supply, with the intelligent controller and a 300w peak output on thier 250w power supply.

Price breakdown.
Logic Supply - $79 90-160w
Opus Solutions - $90->$185 80-320w
MP3Car.com - $75->$230 90-320w
Power Stream - $200->$320 200w-500w
