Stumbling into the daylight........
Stumbling into the daylight, he studies the bus coming towards him as he approaches the street, for a fleeting instant the thought of stepping in front of it crosses his mind.
With a smirk, he dismisses the thought and continues to his car.
Turning the key and bringing the car to life, he wonders what the rest of the day will bring, the chaos and annoyances so far have not been encouraging.
Putting the car into first gear, slipping the clutch, and thundering off in search of more work to be done.
Hoping for it to be more thought provoking than just plodding through monotonous work that takes more time than brainpower.
As he sits at his desk, wondering what life might be like somewhere else, a different city, a different job.
Would it be more interesting and exciting?
At this point, anything probably would..........
Your wife is hot: Conclusion
Well, they don't think your wife is hot visually, but they think she is hot in your house because your AC is not working.
Burton Heating and Cooling put their name and number up on the billboard this week.
Just showing one more thing in life that is not an original thought, but a remake of something that has already been done.
Your wife is hot.
I know she is, but who put up the billboard?
On I-80 eastbound in Omaha, NE, somewhere around the 42nd street exit, there is a billboard that says nothing more than 'Your wife is hot'
I didn't need someone to tell me that, I knew it, but what is the billboard advertising?
There was a campaign for an air conditioning service company in Florida, that had lawsuits between it and a rival company that did a 'Your wife is not hot' follow-up ad campaign.
So what is going on with this one in Omaha, NE?
If someone knows, please comment.
If the billboard changes, I'll post a follow-up.
Can someone explain why you would walk away from your mortgage payment?
I don't understand the thought process.
Apply it to anything else, and people say that you are crazy.
People are 'strategically defaulting' on their home loans, because the home is currently valued less than what they owe on the loan.
Huh?
When you buy anything, it is almost always worth less when you walk out of the store, or drive off the lot, than when you handed over your money.
People now think that their home should always be worth more than what they paid for it, not wanting to admit that they might have overpaid for it in the first place.
I understand the feeling of not wanting to lose money, but don't get the act of walking away when you can still make the payments.
You are not getting the money back, or in most cases, your 'perceived equity'.
You still need a place to live, and it will be harder to get into a similar position in the future.
The bottom line is that you signed the contract.
Just like a marriage, for better or worse, you made a commitment that you should honor.
The terms didn't change, just your feelings about the terms.
So if you are a lying, cheating, cold hearted person, then walk away from your home, you have no loyalty, no honor, no integrity.
You should also never buy a car, computer, or expect anyone to rely on you for anything, because your word to your obligations are meaningless.
There will probably be a spot for you in the Obama administration though, since ignoring obligations seems to be a prerequisite for an appointment.
